OUR STORY
Originally a Newmarket thoroughbred stud, we bought Freedom Farm in 2012. Since then we have worked hard creating woodland and planting over 2km of hedging to transform it into a wildlife haven across the 70 acres of grassland. Wildflowers, grasses, songbirds, butterflies and insects have flourished since our arrival and we continue to catalogue the changes.
It is now grazed 365 days a year with a pedigree herd of Dexter cattle. We grow much of our own produce, including vegetables, eggs, beef and honey – being almost self-sufficient during summer months.
Alongside the day-to-day life of the farm, we support local charities including hosting Equifun days in aid of Riding for the Disabled and a community fundraising quiz night for the new Cambridge Children’s Hospital.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Best wishes, Helena & Duncan
